My husband and I are researchers. We rarely buy things on a whim. If it's a big purchase, we NEVER buy things on a whim. We scour the internet, ask my friends and family, read reviews before making big purchases. For that reason, we have very few things that we regret buying. Not only does this keep our home pretty minimalist, it keeps our finances in pretty good shape. I want to share my favorite products with you, so you don't have to do the research unless you think it's fun like we do. We tend to go with the option of more bang for your buck. We don't usually go for the fanciest or trendiest, just most practical with the best reviews for the price.
Nutrimill Electric Wheat Grinder
After much review, this is what we ended up with and we love it. It is well priced and works great.
Norwex Cleaning Cloths and Laundry Detergent
I put off going to a Norwex party forever. I heard they were pricey and it wasn't in the budget. Finally, my next door neighbor had one and I decided to go so that I could find out if it was a scam or not ;). Well, friends, it wasn't a scam. In fact, I asked lots of questions, in my true skeptic researcher form, and got lots of great answers. I was dying to get my cloths to try them. I cleaned all day the day I got them. I couldn't stop. I was in love. True, everlasting, heart fluttering love. I spent more than I wanted to at the party, but guess, what I haven't looked back since I tried them. I have committed to be done with Clorox wipes which should take care of the price quickly. When I learn about a great product or just new insight, I have to share it. It bubbles up inside of me and literally cannot be contained. If no one asks me about it, I end up spewing it at the first person I see. Norwex was that way. My husband has heard way more than his fair share about Norwex. This blog is partially so I can spew my Norwex love all over you and help you decide if it's good for you, which it is because they are amazing. See my Norwex Tab at the top of the Blog to read more about the Norwex products I can't live without. I'm not sold on everything, but the things I am sold on are GOOD!
Toyota Sienna
I wanted the Odyssey. Oh, how I wanted the Oddyssey. With it's fancy little details. We actually almost bought the Odyssey. It would have been against our better jugement, but I wanted that little fold out ring that holds the garbage sack so bad, SO BAD! We almost paid $10,000 for that little 15 cent piece of plastic. They have us moms all figured out. So, we waited and thought and researched and when we finally decided we just couldn't go through with the Honda, even if it was a tad fancier. I LOVE my Sienna. I would not have used a single one of the bells and whistles that the Honda touted. I have my power sliding doors (sriously luxurious, I feel like I live a Kardashian lifestyle since getting my power sliding doors.) No more kids banging other car doors when they get out, yay!!! Not that I just let my kids bang other people's car doors, but there is much less shouting of "be careful not to hit that car" when the kids get out. I love my Sienna with all of my heart. We bought one year old and saved $10, 000 from what we were going to pay for the New Honda. Almost all of the same features....minus the garbage bag ring of course ;) So worth it.
BlendTech Blender
Yes, VitaMix is trendier, but the reviews tend to make me lean toward Blendtech and we LOVE it!
Speed Queen Washing Machine
No bells an whistles, but boy does she haul. This machine has a large tub, cleans so quickly, so well, is heavy and hearty and should last us 20 years with all of its metal part glory. I love my speed queen.
Butterfly Express Essential Oils
-I have tons of DoTerra Oils and I love them with all of my heart. But after much research I believe that any Certified Therapeutic Oil is going to be effective. Butterfly Express Oils are WAY more affordable. I am testing some out right now.
